 French Carriage Clock
Extremely popular since the mid-nineteenth century, a carriage clock was made to be portable and reliable.  They traveled on trains, coaches, steamships, and even dirigibles!  Made in France, this clock is a time-only piece with a freshly polished and lacquered case and a beautiful enamel dial.

Late 1890’s Ansonia Cast Iron “Black Mantle” Clock
VERY HEAVY cast iron case finished in black paint with incised gold decoration. These clocks were made to imitate the more expensive slate and marble clocks produced by the French.  It has an Ansonia 8 day time and strike movement that has been completely disassembled and cleaned to excellent working order.  Original dial, bezel, hands and gong. Replaced glass and pendulum.  Nice mellow tone to strike.  Shipping will be higher due to weight of this clock

Ansonia "La Savoie" Royal Bonn
In the late 19th century, china cased clocks were the height of style.  Today, they are voraciously sought-after by collectors for their timeless beauty.  “La Savoie” is a graceful arch-top case with fluted pilasters and floral sprays on the front and side.  Inside is Ansonia’s time-proven 7 day time and strike movement.  This case is not perfect; someone over-tightened the movement in the case and cracked it (two cracks on front and one on back), but I have had the cracks stabilized
Circa 1890        For sale at $395.00
