SOLD THANK YOU Chelsea "Mayflower Tri-Centennial" Shelf Clock Truly
a one-of-a-kind piece, this particular Chelsea clock is in a custom case made for Bigelow, Kennard & Co. of Boston, MA.
It features both string and band inlays as well as a marquetry depiction of the Mayflower. The Chelsea seven day time and
"house strike" (not ships strike) movement has been completely dismantled, cleaned and lubricated for excellent
timekeeping. The movement serial number is 141153, which dates it to 1920, hence the motif on the case for the tri-centennial
anniversary of the Pilgrims' landing in the New World. Additionally, the hour and half hour are struck on the 1912-patented,
improved coil gong and backboard. The case itself is flawless, with no chips, dents or scratches. Circa
